Twitter Testing Prompt to Fix Before Sending "Harmful" Reply


Humiliating someone on social media making objectionable comments against him, abusing someone has become very easy for people. Government and social media companies are constantly trying to deal with this problem and recently Twitter testing a new feature for against offensive tweets. After the release of this feature, users will get an alert in the form of an abusive or offensive tweet and reply.

Twitter has given information about this new feature by tweeting, “When things get heated, you may say things you don't mean. To let you rethink a reply, we're running a limited experiment on iOS with a prompt that gives you the option to revise your reply before it's published if it uses language that could be harmful."


On making objectionable tweets and replies, users will get an alert in which they will be asked to think again about that tweet and reply. Explain that there is a lot of pressure on Twitter about objectionable tweets like someone is being trolled on Twitter with abusive language.

The company has recently taken action against abusive tweets against about four lakh accounts and five lakh accounts for abuse. The testing of the new feature will be for the next week and after that, it will be released to users across the world.
