Samsung Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Buds+ Gets Curtain Raiser
Samsung unveiled their Galaxy Z Flip smartphone at the Galaxy S20 series event. The flip display has a 6.7-inch immersive Dynamic AMOLED Infinity Flex Display and a 1.1-inch super AMOLED display with 112 x 300 pixels to highlight notifications when the device is closed. The device is protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 and powered by the Snapdragon 855+ Octa-core processor with Adreno 640 GPU. The device is paired with 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of storage, and is not expandable via microSD card. The device has a folding glass screen made of Samsung’s Ultra-Thin Glass material.
Galaxy Z Flip has a dual rear camera setup with a 12MP wide-angle and a 12MP ultra-wide angle lens giving you the ability to capture great photos and for a new kind of night shot with the Night Hyperlapse. The device is capable of multitasking and is even better on the 6.7-inch screen with Multi Active Window. It packs a 3300mAh battery with fast charging for all day battery letting you make the most out of every charge and users can also charge their Buds+, watch, or even a friend’s phone.
The device has its own intelligent assistant - Bixby and the Bixby Vision, an intelligent tool to give you more information about the world around you while turn your camera and the device is certified by HDR10+. Galaxy Z Flip’s display is built to care about eyestrains and sleep disturbances without sacrificing color, and it has multi-layered protection to secure your phone as well. Samsung Galaxy Z Flip will go on sale from February 14 and has been priced at $1380 and will be available in Mirror Black and Mirror Purple.
Samsung also introduced its Buds+, an upgraded version of the Galaxy Buds, along with the Z Flip smartphone, and S20 series at the Galaxy Unpacked Event. Users will get strong battery with impressive sound quality in the Galaxy Buds+ and it can be purchased with blue, white and black color options. This is Samsung’s first-ever wireless earbuds with 2-way dynamic speakers delivering sound by AKG to provide rich bass and treble, also the 3-mic system, 1 inner mic and 2 outer mics that pick up your voice and preserve it against background noises. Users can feel the music and videos in the balanced and spacious audio crafted by AKG.
Coming to battery, the device will last up to 11hrs of playing music in buds and with the charging case it gets an extended 22hrs. Just 3 minutes charge over USB-C will get you 1hr of playing time. Galaxy Buds+ is capable to charge wirelessly by any Qi compatible wireless charger. Users can check when it’s time to recharge Buds+ by using their smartphone, so you know when to power up. Just tap to control through your playlist, answer calls and adjust volume with simple taps on your earbuds. Tap once to play or pause, double tap to play next song, receive/end call, triple tap to play previous song and touch and hold to perform user-set function. The company has priced the Galaxy Buds+ at $149.
