Samsung Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra with 120Hz display announced
After a lot of rumors and leaks, Samsung has officially launched the 2020 S series flagship models - the Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+ and Galaxy S20 Ultra. It comes with a unique design, 8K video recording capability and long battery life. Samsung Galaxy S20 features a 6.2-inch Infinity-O Quad HD+ display with a pixel count of 563ppi. The device is protected by Gorilla Glass 6 and certified by HDR10+ with 120Hz screen refresh rate to give you smooth and seamless scrolling and gaming experience.
The Galaxy S20 features a triple camera setup that offers a 12MP Ultra Wide, 12MP wide-angle and a 64MP telephoto lens to capture high resolution photos that maintains the clarity. The device has an advanced 3x Hybrid Optic Zoom with 30X Super Resolution Zoom bolstered by AI and a large image sensor that gives you crisp and bright low light photos in Night Mode. A 10MP front shooter is added with fast AF to capture brilliant selfies.
Galaxy S20 is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 that will only be available in USA and for global market, the company has added the Exynos 990 7nm+ processor that clocks at 2.73 GHz Mongoose M5, 2.60 GHz Cortex-A76 & 2.0 GHz Cortex-A55. For GPU, it has Adreno 650 for USA and Mali-G77 MP11 for the global variant. The device comes with 8 GB RAM and 128GB onboard storage and can be expanded with a microSD card for even more storage, up to 1TB. The device is IP 68 certified and supports an Ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor and face recognition for biometric authentication too secure your device.
The device packs a 4000mAh battery and supports 25W fast charging and also support reverse wireless charging too. Galaxy S20 runs on One UI 2.1 based on Android 10, The price structure of Galaxy S20 is $999.
Let's take a look at the Galaxy S20+, and the device is very similar to Galaxy S20 but it has a lot of upgrades in terms of battery, camera and display. It features a 6.7-inch QHD Infinity-O Display with a pixel count of 525ppi with Corning Gorilla Glass 6 protection. It also features a 120Hz screen refresh rate and HDR10+ support. The device is powered similarly to the Galaxy S20’s processor.
Galaxy S20+ is similar to S20 camera spec but you will get an additional rear camera option called DepthVision. The device packs a 4500mAh battery that is slightly larger than the S20. Galaxy S20+ is priced at $1199 for the 5G 128GB, and $1299 for the 5G 512GB variant.
And now towards the biggest smartphone in the S-series lineup - the Galaxy S20 Ultra, features a 6.9-inch Quad HD+ display at 511ppi. The device comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 6, HDR10+ and 120Hz smooth and seamless refresh rates. Galaxy S20 Ultra is equipped with 12GB and 16GB of RAM and up to 512GB onboard storage option, which can be expanded up to 1TB with a microSD.
The camera on the S20 Ultra is really impressive with stunning features. There is a 12MP ultra wide, 108MP Wide-angle, 48MP telephoto and a depth vision camera to capture sharp shots without losing any of the details. It has 100X super resolution zoom and 10x hybrid optic zoom enhanced by AI to capture the best moments on spot. In low light mode, the device captures multiple photos at once and merge the shots with less blur and noise. Night mode to gives you the best photo scenes clear as day.
