Microsoft Surface Event 2019 reveals new Surface devices

Microsoft Surface Event 2019 revealed the new and upgraded Surface devices at New York. The devices include new Surface Laptop 3, Surface Pro 7, Surface Earbuds, Surface Pro X, Surface Neo and, Surface Duo.

Surface Laptop 3 - The new Surface Laptop 3 has a 13.5-inch and 15-inch variants and the device is crafted in the machined aluminum finish. The device will be powered by Intel’s 10th generation Quad-Core processor and AMD Radeon RX Vega 11 graphics card support, 20% large trackpad with the same 1.3mm key travel, and PixelSense Display with Touch functionality. The company also revealed that this laptop is much faster than the previous version of Surface Laptop 2 and three times faster than Apple's MacBook Air.

The company also showed how easy it is to remove the keyboard from the laptop to make internal repairs and the device charges 80% in an hour and comes with fast charging support. The device is going on sale from October 22nd and is priced around $999 for the 13.5-inch model and $1,199 for the 15-inch model.

Surface Pro 7 - Surface Pro 7 is similar to Surface Laptop 3 and it has finally added USB-C port. The device has a 12.3-inch display as Surface Pro 6, but it’s hardware has been upgraded as well like a fast processor, improved graphics and all-day battery life with 16GB RAM. Surface Pro 7 is available on sale from October 22nd at $749.

Surface Earbuds – Microsoft introduced its first truly wireless headphones at Microsoft Surface Event 2019. It has a huge disc-shape and an ultra-comfortable design and intuitive touch panel gestures like touch, tap, and swipe, skip a music track, adjust volume, make a call, or to get assistance. It has 2 microphones on each side of the buds that deliver rich call quality and support voice recognition. Surface Earbuds deliver 8hrs continuous listening time in a single charge and up to 24hrs of battery life while in the battery charging case. A ten-minute charge delivers 1 hour of battery life. The device is compatible on Windows 10, Android 4.4 or higher, iOS 9 or higher and has Bluetooth 4.1/4.2 support and are IPX4 certified. The Surface Earbuds costs $249.

Surface Pro X - A 13-inch touchscreen edge to edge 2-in-1 touchscreen display with blazing-fast LTE connectivity, 2880 x 1920 resolution, and 267 PPI. The device comes with X Signature Keyboard with Slim Pen. It has Next-gen Microsoft SQ1 and Adreno 685 GPU graphics with up to 16GB RAM and up to 128GB, 256GB and 512GB removable on board storage. The device packs up to 13hrs battery life and weighs just 1.68 pounds. The device will be available on sale from November 5th at $999.

Surface Neo - A 9-inch dual-screen and 360-degree foldable device launched at Microsoft Surface Event 2019. The device is 5.6mm thin on each side and it’s "the thinnest LCD that’s ever been created". The device weighs around 665g and the keyboard connects magnetically to the back. Surface Pen can be attached to back of the body and for charging. The device runs on Windows 10X and is powered by Intel's Lakefield Processor. The Surface Neo will be available on the 2020 holiday season.

Surface Duo - Microsoft also revealed a small pocket-sized dual-screen device that runs on Android. It has a 5.6-inch display that can rotate 360 and make phone calls, send text messages, etc. and looks like Windows 10X. Users can use two displays at one time and also run different apps on two screens. The first display turns into the landscape and the second one can be used as keyboard and gaming control. The Surface Duo launches next holiday like the Surface Neo.
