Google Maps is really helpful for travelers in foreign countries or local areas. The company has added a new translation feature in Google Maps to help travelers communicate with their hosts more effectively. Google says the name or address out loud for you to share it with your taxi driver or ask a local if you are looking to visit any places.

Simply tap the new speaker icon next to the foreign landmarks that will read out the location in your language and there is also an option to translate or to communicate with locals. To enable, you need to update the map as the new feature is rolled out gradually and you might have to wait up to one month for its official release to all regions both iOS and Android that support 50 languages.

Google's new text-to-speech technology detects translated automatically. For a deeper conversation, Google Map is linked with Google Translate app.
