Garmin has announced their new smartwatch, the Tactix Delta, designed to meet the MIL-STD-810 military standard, and is equipped with a 1.4-inch display with 208 x 280 resolution to ensure greater visibility of content at any situation. It has a domed sapphire crystal lens and a diamond-like carbon (DLC) coated bezel. The watch case material has fiber-reinforced polymer with metal rear cover and knurled buttons. Tactix Delta has night vision capability powered by Tactical-specific features that can be used to easily switch from day to night mode.
For parachuting, there is a Jumpmaster mode which automatically calculate the point from which the user has jumped and helps to navigate while you jumped. The Dual-Position format allows two coordinate systems like Universal Transverse Mercator (UTM) and Military Grid Reference System (MGR) in a single data screen at the same time while, synchronizing the user's position with the other team members.
The Stealth mode, on the other hand, allows you to follow an activity by automatically disabling any external signal sharing like Wi-Fi connectivity and communication. It has a kill switch technology, where the user can immediately delete all data from the smartwatch, and the Projected Waypoint feature lets you set and save remote geo positions to be used later for navigation.
Inside the smartwatch, the Topo and Ski maps are already preloaded over 2,000 worldwide ski resorts, and has inbuilt course view maps that can access over 41,000 golf courses worldwide. There is no lack of compatibility with the largest international satellite navigation systems such as GPS, GLONASS and Galileo. It has ABC sensors including an altimeter for elevation data, barometer to monitor weather and 3-axis electronic compass.
The Expedition Mode lets you trek far and wide between recharges with an ultralow-powered GPS reference, that can last for weeks. It has a ClimbPro feature where you can plan on your downloaded courses to see real-time information on your current and upcoming climbs, including gradient, distance and elevation gain directly on your wrist. The device has sports mode, animated workout, performance metrics, pulse OX sensor, etc. compatibilities with advanced features.
A first-of-its-kind, the PacePro feature helps you keep on pace with grade-adjusted guidance as you run a course and a Body Battery Energy Monitor helps to optimize body energy reserves using heart rate variability, stress, sleep and other data. As for the battery, Garmin provides up to 21 days in smartwatch mode, up to 15 hours in GPS mode, and up to 80 days in watch mode with active energy saving. The new Garmin Tactix Delta is available on the official website of the manufacturer at a price of $899.99
